Danny, this is beautiful and timely. This month marks 3.25 years of my journey through my husband's new reality of living with Alzheimer's disease. It's a horrible thing, and some days I think he's just messing with me when he can't remember why we are leaving the house. The part I didn't anticipate was the more obvious characteristics of his "hidden" afflictions: PTSD, ADHD, and Asperger's syndrome. Now that the mask is off and he can no longer fake it, I am seeing the unedited version of him that I only glimpsed previously. I now do everything, all the time, for both of us, which squeezes my art time ever smaller. But yesterday I put everything on hold to make a collage, and it was so satisfying. I've learned to trust the process while the pieces decide where to be on the paper, and they reward me with humor and whimsy. You have taught me that. Thank you.

Your pal,

Marjorie

Thank you Danny. Do you write better or draw better? I don’t know. Probably Both Best.

But the writing leaves tears in my eyes, more often than not.
