I really enjoy your essays, so down to earth, practical, humorous and stimulating for a way of thinking outside the box, entertaining too! You really are one of a kind, a person of interest. I sent your book to a friend, she will be appreciative. Thanks for all your inspiration.
I love the tooth brushes ( my daily drawing prompt today, thanks). The idea of ‘everyday, something small and right in my line of vision, at hand’ is a powerful push and a great way to start the year:)
It’s morning here Jan. 2nd of another new year and as I sit here in my quiet home with plenty to do after having my coffee and taking a few minutes before the day actually begins bustling, I wanted you to know I appreciate your essays. I haven’t seen them read to us in a bit (maybe I have just missed that) and wanted you to know I really enjoy that. It brings a calm to a moment and feels like a visit with an artist teacher and friend. Drawing with you a while back with Nicki Traikos was a highlight for me when you collaborated and it introduced me to you and your unique style of drawing and sketching. I appreciate how you share and encourage all of us out here in our homes or wherever we find you and appreciate your whimsical and real approach to drawing and teaching. It has been such an inspiration to me! My daughter and I often sit with my sketchbook and draw together. Something I didn’t do with my boys. We have 5 boys! Our daughter is our youngest. She has taught me so much and has loved art and drawing and creating since she could pick anything up. I’m thankful for being older and calmer with her and tuning in for your lives and classes you’ve shared for free online has helped me so much. Hard to express it, honestly. I lost my first real art teacher and dear friend last December and struggled to pick up anything to be creative. I have watched but not actually drawn. So this post today was especially helpful to me. Huge art hugs and deep gratitude for continuing to share and encourage us… well, specifically me! Bye for now.
Thank you for the reminder to draw! I hauled out all my drawing stuff about a month before Christmas, but then had too much to do getting prezzies for the grandkids etc and general Crimbo and New Year stuff - the usual ridiculousness of that time of year! But I can see my oil pastels and drawing books from my perch in bed (I'm mostly bedbound) so I'm hoping to get going on some simple ideas. I'd really like to do a mural on the wall behind my bed, but I suspect that might be too big a project for me to manage.
Always inspiring, always that humourous little nudge to keep going. 🥰
I love your sense of humor in your writing🤣. I look forward to your posts and your motivation!
🤣
Thank you Danny

Thanks for your kind words!
Drawing, doodling, sketching or just making silly lines for me is a must every day. I enjoy your Essays as they are encouraging.

Once again, I love what and how you write! Perfect way to start my day! Thanks so much, Danny! Happy and healthy new year to you and yours!

Lovely to hear from you, Trish. You seem to have much joy in your life.
