Thank you! Danny has completely changed the way I see sketchbooks. Since I started a few months ago, I’ve truly fallen in love with sketching. I take my sketchbook everywhere—even to work so I can draw during my lunch break when I have the chance. This project was such a joy. Thank you for the inspiration!

You nailed every artist’s fear of beginnings. I’m trying to do a watercolor, but I can’t get it right. I’m mediocre at best, but I can’t get slap down some paint. I just remind myself it’s just paper, expensive paper, but it’s okay to start again. On my 3rd attempt and it’s looking more promising. Glad I found you.

“….I don’t notice it leaving. I just look up eventually and realize it’s been gone a while, and I’ve been happy. Calm, wide awake, not judging a thing. “ That’s the magic place; I’ve been finding it a lot lately. The way you put words to the experience is so great — you always nail it, Danny. Thanks so much for sharing your magic with us. 🙏

We've been together a long time now Danny. When you suggested drawing with a fountain pen (15 yrs ago?) I didn't know paper, pen and ink would absorb anxiety, alter mood and open up an amazing world of art. Your books inspire me and your chats are part of my day. How lucky I am to know you. You have a great sense of humor, too. Thank you for all you do. You're my hero! Nina, waving from (smoky)Toronto
